The general and permanent ordinances of the City-County Council of Indianapolis-Marion County, comprise the "Revised Code of the Consolidated City and County" (Revised Code). The Revised Code begins a complete recodification and revision of the ordinances of a general and permanent nature enacted by the City-County Council and is the first such recodification for the Consolidated City of Indianapolis and Marion County since 1975 and was adopted on April 20, 1998.
