STREET REPAIRS & PARKING
If your street has sewer problems, potholes or other damages that have not been repaired, call the Mayor’s Action Center, 327-4622, to report the situation and be sure to get an Action Number so we can follow up if it doesn’t get done.
Please remember that commercial vehicles, trailers, boats, and RV’s may not be parked overnight on our streets. They can be tagged and towed.
ABANDONED VEHICLES
We citizens of Indianapolis clearly love our cars, after all we are home to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but in our neighborhoods when resting lifeless and abandoned to the weather and the weeds, we don’t find them very lovable. Abandoned vehicles pose a threat to public safety - our children can use them as a playground and may be hurt. Abandoned vehicles may pose a threat to public health - rodents and other animals can quickly turn them into housing units. The Department of Public Works administers a contract to ticket, tow and dispose of abandoned vehicles. If a car has been left on the street with out being moved, once it has been reported as abandoned it will be tagged and notification will be given to the owner that they have three {3} days to move the vehicle. If a vehicle is parked on the owners property and has not been moved for 21 days the Contractor will tag the vehicle and tow it after 72 hours and does not need the owner’s consent. To report a vehicle you suspect has been abandoned, report the exact location and description of the vehicle to the Mayor’s Action Center at 327-4622. You will be assigned a tracking number, and you can later contact the Mayor’s Action Center to ask the status of your complaint
CLEAN AIR ALERT
With the early summer heat there will be many stifling days when the ozone levels will reach damaging levels. Please be in the "kno" this summer, and make small behavior changes that will help improve air quality and our quality of life in central Indiana.
INFORMATION FOR NEW RESIDENTS OF HILL VALLEY
There are over 1100 homes in Hill Valley. We have grown together over the many years to support a Homeowners Association with a Board of Directors. Joining is only $25 per year and that includes the cost of snow plowing our streets. We publish a quarterly Newsletter to inform everyone what¹s coming up next including information from the local Crime Watch organization with whom we cooperate. We have an annual picnic which for all current members of the Hill Valley Homeowners Assn. At our website - www.hillvalley.org - you can find our mission statement, a map of the whole neighborhood, a list of all board members, a yearly calendar, past Newsletters, and important area phone numbers.

Some members have been confused regarding the membership dues. The dues year is from January to December. We provide envelopes in the January newsletter to allow you to mail your dues in at the beginning of the year.
NEW NEWSLETTER SECTION
The Board has approved creating a new section in the Newsletter, "Members Serving Members".
