Animal Care & Control Indianapolis Animal Care.Dogs and cats are for adoption. They want nothing more than a comfy, loving home where they will be cherished and cared their whole life long. In return, they promise all the love, loyalty, and companionship you could ask for. This site also has information about the city ordinances and state laws as well as how to report stray animals.
Storm Drains and Flooding Residents are asked to help reduce neighborhood flooding by clearing leaves from storm inlets. There is an ordinance that requires the homeowners to keep the inlets clear to protect their properties safe from flooding. Additionally, ditches and creeks are to be kept clear so the water can safely flow from the area.
Water from your basement, crawl space or pools to the street It is a violation of the city ordinance to discharge water from sumps, pools and other sources onto the city streets and/or sidewalks.
Commercial Vehicles It is a violation of zoning laws to park commercial vans and trailers in our neighborhood, whether in the driveway or on the street. Please park these elsewhere on commercial property. Incidents are being reported to the new Office of Code Enforcement for fast response.
Inoperable or Abandoned Vehicles It is a violation of zoning laws to park inoperable or abandoned vehicles in our neighborhood, whether in the driveway or on the street. Uncontrolled Dogs Unleashed dogs (known as "at large" in the ordinance) are causing concern to many neighbors. Curbing requirements are also being enforced. Incidents are being reported to Code Enforcement.
